2017 Adventure

So in 2017, I decided to change my thinking....I figured it would change my life and guess what, it has! I am on a journey to get my life right real quick and get it right good. So in order to do that, I've decided to work on my finances. Well I actually have a process of getting a lot of things together, but I can only focus on one area at a time. I tried doing multiple areas at once and that was an epic fail! But hey, we live and learn right... so my first journey is my finances! I will use this as a Financial Portfolio and see how this will work out for me.  My first step was to join the Dream Builder: Liver Richer Academy (I will explain this one later) and a financial course through Coursera, both in which I am paying for. I figured if I'm paying for it, I will be motivated to complete the courses. Can't afford to waste any money! Anywho, to explain Dream Builders: Liver Richer, I have to give you a bio on the founder....Imma just copy and paste that info...how bout dat....seriously, I am...So much easier....Find her info below ↓↓↓↓↓

LIVE RICHER: Created by Tiffany “The Budgetnista”, is a resource... for those that wish to purposefully and passionately pursue our ideal lives and want to use our finances to help in that pursuit.

Ok so, there is definitely more information about her... y'all can google her. I promise it's worth it!

Back to the topic. In 2017, I am on a journey/adventure to get my life! The journey or goals go as follow:

1. Mental Fitness

2. Financial Awakening

3. Get it Right, Get it Tight (Weight loss)

4. I haven't gotten this far yet

So I have been changing my thoughts and the way I perceive things and people. I try to say positive affirmations throughout the day, but it's so hard y'all...I'm soooo petty! True story, I am! However, I am getting better and bringing my pettiness to a minimum. Some traits we're just born with!

With my financial journey I am learning a lot about myself and how my emotions play a huge part in my finances. I'm not about to give a sob story about my life, not having anything and never learned about money. Nope...not gonna happen....I just need to treat it as business and not get so emotionally wrapped up with it. When I don't have any, I feel like those chicks whose man decided to spend the day with his other baby mama on Valentine's Day! So I have to learn how to keep it simple, no attachments and use it wisely. "Money isn't everything, but it sure doesn't hurt to have it". I don't know who I got this quote from, but I liked it and wrote it down.

Today starts my first day in my Finance for everyone course. It's about 12 weeks long and gotta Capstone at the end...go figure. The last place I want to be in is school, but if I want to change my life, I have to do something that I don't want to....

I'll tell you all how this all goes....until next time....Be Sweet as Honey Baby! (In my black southern grandma voice).
