Saturday Breakfast

So we all know that Saturday should be the day of solace. It's the day we all unwind from our hectic week. We use this day to relax to sleep in....oh the thoughts of sleeping, what a wonderful peace it is to have a comfortable restful sleep. Waking up at 11am or later in the morning and have time to myself before getting my day started. Now as a mother, my Saturdays consist of 6am wake ups, (it should be a sin to wake up early on a Saturday) early morning cartoons and breakfast demands. This morning my little guys woke me up with the demands of hunger. Because my sleep has left me for the day, I get up and prepare the ritual Saturday morning breakfast. This morning consisted of Turkey Bacon, Scrambled Eggs and Homemade Fruit Smoothie. I try to create simple but healthy breakfasts that we can eat together as a family. Family Trip to D.C.

This past March, my family and I had the awesome opportunity of attending the 2016 White House Easter Egg Roll! We were one family, out of the millions who submitted a lottery, to be chosen to attend this historical event! Winning this lottery was almost as great as winning a monetary lottery!....Well almost. We were so shocked and it was so unbelievable. I remember telling co-workers that I was taking PTO to go to the White House and they laughed in my face with the statement, "that's a good one Tish." I mean you hear about people going to the White House, but you never really know someone who has gone to the White House. Anyway, as we embarked on our journey, we had so much to see in so little time. One event that we fell upon was the Cherry Blossom Festival.
